Publication Ethics (Publication Ethics Statement)

The code of publication ethics is a set of norms that authors must adhere to when publishing their scientific work in any publication medium. The fundamental principles of publication ethics are to prioritize morality, scientific integrity, and honesty.

Morality: Authors should be able to distinguish between good and bad conduct in writing.

Scientific Integrity: Authors must uphold the principles, essence, and truth of science, without compromising them for any purpose.

Honesty: Authors should ensure that their work reflects the actual, objective conditions and must avoid any misconduct in research or writing.

The code of ethics that authors must comply with when publishing their scientific articles in the Journal of Healthcare Education includes:

  • Authors must uphold scientific conduct and understand the benefits and risks of their published work.

  • The published articles must be free from misconduct, including fabrication, falsification of data, and plagiarism or self-plagiarism.

  • Authors are required to provide adequate citations for all statements, ideas, and data that are not the result of their research.

  • The published articles must be relevant to the field of the Journal of Healthcare Education, which is healthcare.

  • The published articles should not create conflicts with specific parties or potentially disturb the public.

  • The listed authors on the published articles must be those who are truly competent and have made significant contributions to the writing of the article.

  • Authors must not engage in double manuscript submission, submitting the same article to multiple journals or other publication mediums simultaneously.

  • The article, in whole or in part, must not have been previously published in any other publication medium.

  • The published articles must be original works based on the author's research, ideas, or thoughts, as guaranteed by a Declaration of Plagiarism-Free Statement signed by the author.
