This community service activity aimed to increase the knowledge and awareness of orphanage children about the importance of maintaining skin hygiene and health. The program was carried out at the Peduli Yatim & Dhuafa Children’s Social Orphanage in Bandung, involving approximately 20–30 children as participants. The methods used included health education sessions, demonstrations of proper handwashing practices, educational games, and the distribution of snacks and basic food supplies. The results of the activity showed high enthusiasm among participants and an improvement in their understanding of how to maintain skin hygiene and adopt clean and healthy living behaviors. This activity not only provided benefits for the children but also served as a learning opportunity for nursing students to apply their knowledge in real community settings while fostering empathy and social responsibility. The program is expected to encourage sustainable healthy behavior changes.
Asih Purwandari Wahyoe Puspita Iyus Yosep Andria Pragholapati Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Pendidikan Keperawatan Indonesia 2026-02-15 2026-02-15 1 2 14 19 Upaya Peningkatan Nutrisi Bayi Melalui Penyuluhan Kesehatan tentang Manajemen Laktasi pada Ibu Beresiko (COVID-19) di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kebakkramat II, Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jppki/article/view/126
The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has officially transitioned to an endemic phase. Although COVID-19 is considered endemic, the Ministry of Health continues to report cases. In 2025, numerous new cases have surfaced across different areas in Indonesia. The transmission of SARS-CoV-2 through breast milk is evident. The WHO advises that mothers diagnosed with COVID-19 should keep breastfeeding. It is believed that the advantages of breast milk surpass the possible dangers of COVID-19 infection in newborns; hence, breastfeeding should persist. An initiative to enhance breastfeeding practices involves offering education on lactation management to mothers who have contracted COVID-19. A preliminary study with village midwives at the Kebakkramat II Community Health Center revealed that many pregnant women receiving prenatal checkups there were not informed about the procedures or management of lactation for mothers affected by COVID-19. Consequently, this community service was conducted to enhance mothers' understanding and guarantee that infants continue to get nourishment through breastfeeding. The approach taken involved offering instruction on lactation management, breastfeeding techniques, and finishing with an assessment of the activity. The outcomes of this community service revealed that 7 mothers (85.71%) possessed good knowledge, and 5 breastfeeding mothers (71.42%) successfully implemented proper breastfeeding practices.
Martina Ekacahyaningtyas Innez Karunia Mustikarani Christiani Bumi Pangesti Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Pendidikan Keperawatan Indonesia 2026-01-03 2026-01-03 1 2 1 7 Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Edukasi Kesehatan Jiwa dan Terapi Mindfulness Berbasis Komunitas https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jppki/article/view/128
Anxiety is one of the most prevalent mental health problems experienced by the community and is often inadequately addressed due to low mental health literacy and persistent social stigma. This community service activity aimed to enhance community knowledge and skills in recognizing and managing anxiety through mental health education and the application of simple community-based mindfulness therapy. The program was conducted at Posyandu RW 03 Sariwangi and involved 66 community participants. The methods included interactive health education sessions, demonstrations of mindfulness practices, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test assessments. The results demonstrated an improvement in community knowledge regarding anxiety following the educational intervention, as indicated by an increased proportion of participants achieving higher knowledge scores in the post-test. The activity also received positive responses from participants and contributed to raising awareness of the importance of independent mental health management. Community-based mental health education incorporating mindfulness approaches has the potential to serve as an effective promotive and preventive strategy for anxiety management in the community.
Andria Pragholapati Dhika Dharmansyah Copyright (c) 2026 Jurnal Pengabdian Pendidikan Keperawatan Indonesia 2026-01-03 2026-01-03 1 2 8 13
