Social influences, including parenting style and peer pressure, are seen as major contributors to smoking behavior. This study aimed to examine the connection between parenting styles and peer influence with smoking behavior among students at SMK Negeri 3 Kota Sorong. A quantitative correlational approach using a cross-sectional design was employed. The study involved 77 students from grade XI selected through non-probability sampling. Questionnaires covering parenting styles, peer influence, and smoking behavior were used as research instruments. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results indicated no significant relationship between parenting style and smoking behavior (p = 0.770), but a significant relationship was found between peer influence and smoking behavior (p = 0.040). These findings suggest that peer influence plays a substantial role in adolescent smoking behavior, while parenting style does not show a significant effect. Peer-based interventions are therefore suggested to help reduce smoking rates among youth.
Rifki Sakinah Nompo, Fitriani, Fatimah, Josepha, Tanaya Copyright (c) 2025 Rifki Sakinah Nompo, Fitriani, Fatimah, Josepha, Tanaya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/112 Wed, 23 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Perilaku Self Injury Mempengaruhi Resiko Bunuh Diri pada Mahasiswa Tingkat IV Ilmu Keperawatan (S1) https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/120
Individuals who experience stressors continuously can gradually experience mental health problems, leading to negative/maladaptive responses. One such behavior is self-injury and the risk of suicide. Data from Australia indicates that 20% of people aged 18-24 have self-injured, while the figure for Indonesians is 36%. Deaths among adolescents (15-29) are the second leading cause of suicide. Self-injury can reduce anxiety about death and increase the potential for suicide attempts. Therefore, this research is highly urgent. Objective: To identify the relationship between self-injury behavior and suicide risk. This study used a cross-sectional approach. The population was 166 fourth-year Nursing students (S1) of FITKes UNJANI. Sampling was conducted using probability sampling techniques, specifically proportional random sampling, resulting in 117 respondents. The instruments used were the Self-harm Inventory (SHI) and the Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSS). Data were collected using a questionnaire. Univariate analysis used frequency distribution, and bivariate analysis used the Spearman rank test. This study showed that almost all respondents had self-injured in the mild category (91 respondents (77.8%), and most respondents were at low risk of suicide (83 respondents (70.9%). There was a moderate and positive correlation between self-injury and suicide risk (R = 0.546 and p-value = 0.001 <0.05). Conclusion: There is a moderate and positive correlation between self-injury behavior and suicide risk. It is recommended that academic advisors play an active role and provide students with constructive/positive stress coping mechanisms.
Berlyana Ulia Arifin, Iin Inayah, Oyoh Oyoh Copyright (c) 2025 Berlyana Ulia Arifin, Iin Inayah, Oyoh Oyoh https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/120 Mon, 28 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Studi Kasus :Pengaruh Akupresur Titik P6 Dan St36 Pada Pasien Kanker Dengan Nausea https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/118
Nausea and vomiting are common side effects that plague cancer patients during chemotherapy, risking anorexia, dehydration, electrolyte disturbances and decreased quality of life. The treatment can be done pharmacologically and nonpharmacologically, one of which is acupressure at points P6 and ST36. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of acupressure in reducing nausea in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The study was conducted in the Tulip room of Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province in July 2025 with a pre-test and post-test design involving one cancer patient who received the intervention for three consecutive days within ±1-2 minutes. The results showed a significant reduction in the level of nausea based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards (SLKI). The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) score showed a decrease from 4 (moderate) to 2 (mild). Other symptoms such as urge to vomit, decreased appetite, and pallor also improved after the intervention. These findings support the use of acupressure as an effective nonpharmacological complementary therapy, and are recommended to be considered in nursing practice, whether performed independently by patients or with the help of health workers.
Dendy Kharisna, Saharudin Saharudin, Ifon Dwiposwana Putra, Tison SS Copyright (c) 2025 Dendy Kharisna, Saharudin Saharudin, Ifon Dwiposwana Putra, Tison SS https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/118 Sun, 27 Jul 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Hubungan Sosialisasi dan Sumber Informasi Dengan Pengetahuan Mahasiswa Tentang Pelecehan Seksual https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jkkhc/article/view/115
Sexual harassment is a serious issue that occurs in various settings, including higher education institutions. The successful management of hypertension depends not only on medical intervention, but also on the active role of the family in health maintenance. Lack of family involvement can lead to patient non-compliance with medication and a healthy lifestyle. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of warm water and red ginger foot bath therapy on blood pressure reduction and assess the role of family in maintaining the health of hypertensive patients. The study was conducted in Sungai Putih Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency in May 2025 with a pre-test and post-test design. Analysis using frequency distribution on two subjects. The results showed a significant increase in family health maintenance based on the Indonesian Nursing Outcome Standards. Adaptive behavior increased from a score of 3 to 5, understanding of healthy behavior from 2 to 5, ability to carry out healthy behavior from 2 to 5, help-seeking behavior from 1 to 5, interest in improving healthy behavior from 3 to 5, and support system from 2 to 5. These results indicate that the combination therapy of warm water foot bath and red ginger is effective in increasing family involvement and health maintenance of patients with hypertension. This intervention is recommended as a supporting therapy that can be applied routinely in the family environment.
Peni Peni Sila Arsita Dewi, Wardah Wardah , M. Zul’Irfan M.
