DM Learning can help DM patients manage their disease, where DM learning is an educational tool about DM disease that includes an understanding of the causes, symptoms, treatment methods (diet, exercise, medication), complications, and prevention, so that sufferers and the general public can manage DM effectively and improve their quality of life. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of DM Learning using an application on the anxiety level of DM patients at the Sari Asih Serang Hospital Polyclinic. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a pretest–posttest design with a control group. Each group consisted of 60 respondents taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the marginal homogeneity test. Results: The analysis results showed that application-based DM learning was effective in reducing the anxiety level of diabetes mellitus patients (p: 0.000). Conventional DM learning was also effective in reducing the anxiety level of diabetes mellitus patients (p: 0.000). Application-based DM learning is more effective in reducing anxiety levels in diabetes mellitus patients compared to conventional DM learning (p: 0.000). Conclusion: Application-based DM learning is effective in reducing anxiety levels in diabetes mellitus patients.
Evi Wahyuni, Wigyo Susanto, Dwi Heppy Rochmawati Copyright (c) 2026 Evi Wahyuni, Wigyo Susanto, Dwi Heppy Rochmawati https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jhce/article/view/133 Sun, 17 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DENGAN PERILAKU MOBILISASI DINI PASIEN POST OPERASI APENDIKTOMI DI RUANG RAWAT INAP RUMAH SAKIT https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jhce/article/view/134
Early mobilization is an important intervention in post-appendectomy care to accelerate recovery, prevent complications, and improve patient comfort. The implementation of early mobilization is greatly influenced by the patient's level of knowledge regarding the benefits, timing, and implementation techniques. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior of post-appendectomy patients in the inpatient ward of Sari Asih Hospital, Serang. Method: This study used a descriptive correlative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of the study was 40 post-appendectomy respondents with a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire on the level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior, then analyzed bivariately using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results of the Chi-Square test showed that the p-value was 0.000 (p <0.05). So there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior of post-appendectomy patients in the inpatient ward of Sari Asih Hospital, Serang. Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge level and early mobilization behavior of appendectomy patients in the inpatient ward of Sari Asih Hospital, Serang.
Susila Wati, Dwi Heppy Rochmawati, Wigyo Susanto Copyright (c) 2026 Susila Wati, Dwi Heppy Rochmawati, Wigyo Susanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jhce/article/view/134 Sun, 17 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000 EFEKTIFITAS MANAJEMEN AKTIF KALA IV TERHADAP RISIKO PERDARAHAN PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI SECTIO CAESAREA DI RUMAH SAKIT https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jhce/article/view/132
Postpartum hemorrhage is a major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality, including in post-cesarean section patients. The fourth stage is a critical phase in the first two hours after delivery that requires intensive monitoring to prevent bleeding. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of active management of the fourth stage on the risk of bleeding in post-cesarean section patients. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a post-test only approach with a control group. The sample consisted of 40 post-cesarean section mothers who were divided into an intervention group and a control group using a consecutive sampling technique. The intervention was in the form of implementing active management of the fourth stage during the first two hours after surgery. The variables measured included the amount of bleeding, decreased hemoglobin levels, and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage. Data analysis used independent t-test and chi-square tests with a significance level of 0.05. Results: There was a significant difference in the amount of bleeding and decreased hemoglobin levels between the intervention and control groups (p < 0.05). The incidence of postpartum hemorrhage was lower in the group receiving active management of the fourth stage of labor. Conclusion: Active management of the fourth stage of labor effectively reduces the risk of bleeding in post-cesarean section patients and is recommended as part of standard postpartum nursing care.
Sartika Jaya, Sri Wahyuni, Apriliani Yulianti Wurningsih Copyright (c) 2026 Sartika Jaya, Sri Wahyuni, Apriliani Yulianti Wurningsih https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://journalhadhe.com/index.php/jhce/article/view/132 Sun, 17 May 2026 00:00:00 +0000
